You should spend about 20 minutes on this task. Write about the following topic
You were supposed to go on an interview in a few weeks, but you have since found out you cannot go on the date arranged.
Write a letter to the potential employer. In your letter:
- tell them why you need to move the interview time
- ask to change the interview date
- explain that you are still interested in being interviewed for the job
Write at least 150 words.
Model Answer:
Dear Sir,
I write this letter to request you to change my interview date which was supposed to take place on the 15th of July.
My sister is getting engaged on the said date, so it would be difficult for me to make it to the interview. Based on this reason, I would appreciate if the interview can be postponed to any other date. I have always wished to work with a company like yours, and would not like to miss a chance to be a part of your esteemed organization. Moreover, I think that the job role is well-related to my education and experience and it will give me an opportunity to prove myself. Therefore, I am quite keen to participate in the interview.
Under such circumstances, if your kind-self consider my request, I shall remain grateful to you.
Looking forward to hearing from you.
Regards,
Abhishek Kumar
