IELTS General Writing Task 1 with model answer
You should spend about 20 minutes on this task. Write about the following topic
Write a letter to a college principal where you attended a one day computer course and are unhappy about the way it was conducted.
Explain:
- what was the type of the course?
- what happened and
- what can be done to make sure this problem never occurs again.
Write at least 150 words.
Model Answer:
Dear Sir,
I am writing to express my dissatisfaction about a single-day 'Basics of computer learning' course at your college.
As suggested by the name, this course was intended for the students who desire to learn basic uses of computer. Undoubtedly, the method of teaching was appropriate and satisfactory, but the course administration organization did not seem to be efficient. What happened was that the number of students exceeded the capacity of the sitting arrangement and computers availability. Thus, we all felt congested and probably, the learning would have been more interesting if everybody had an access to his/her own unique computers.
To prevent this scenario from being repeated, I would like to suggest you that next time, when your institute will again conduct such courses, please divide the students into different batches by registering them earlier to avoid such inconveniency.
I hope you will find my advice useful.
Yours sincerely,
Navjot.
