A common problem with many IELTS candidates face in answering the IELTS General Writing Task 1 is how to begin and end the letter. Remember that IELTS still expects letters to be written in a traditional manner so even if you are asked to write a letter to your friend it is not appropriate to start it with "Yo" :)
Letter-writing is an art form that can determine whether your words will be taken seriously or ignored. Whether you're writing a cover letter for a job, a letter to a friend or just an email to a colleague, it all starts with a well-written beginning and ends with an appropriate closing that suits the tone and purpose of the letter. Learning how to address the recipient and closing the letter will help you write a letter worth reading. In today's IELTS playlist, you will learn how to begin and end your IELTS General Writing Task 1 letter appropriately.
