Model Answer:

It is an undeniable fact that the natural green reserves of our planet purify the atmosphere and function synonymously as that of the human lungs. I strongly surmise that destructing them would collapse the earth.

There are many reasons why jungles are important to the survival of our planet.  Firstly, as we all know contrary to humans, during respiration, trees inhale carbon dioxide and exhale oxygen thereby help in sustaining life. In other words, it can be stated that forests contribute in the purification of atmospheric air which is vital for the human existence. Secondly, environmentalists have ample evidence to argue that destroying woodlands leads to global warming and soil erosion to a greater extent. The NASA research has proven that drastic increase in global temperature is because of forest destruction which would lead to famine and drought.

Thirdly, many dense forests are the habitats for numerous forms of life so destroying the green reserves would imbalance the natural ecosystem of the flora and fauna throughout the world. In addition to this, the green ecosystem plays a vital role in the process of natural decomposition that leads to the production of coal naturally which fuels our present world without which mankind would scramble for alternate sources. Finally, forests are the important sources of numerous medicinal plants from which variety of medicines have been produced. Turmeric plant is a classical example for its versatile usage as a spice, medicine and cosmetic.

In conclusion, I strongly believe that the forest destruction will certainly ruin the present ecosystem which would cost many human lives and there is a theoretical possibility that the blue planet might become lifeless if these green lungs are totally wiped out.
