You should spend about 20 minutes on this task. Write about the following topic

You want to sell your television. You think a friend of yours might like to buy it from you. 

Write a letter to your friend. In your letter explain

1. Why you are selling the television
2. Describe the television
3. Suggest a date when your friend can come and see it

Write at least 150 words.

Model Answer:

Dear John,

It has been a long time since I have heard from you. Hope you and your family are doing well. I am writing to tell you that I am selling my 42” LED display television; yes, the very same one you have had your eyes on since I bought it.

As you know, I bought it six months back; therefore, it is still in perfect condition. You must remember it is black in color and is the well-known brand of Sony. The reason I am selling it is because I barely watch television, as mostly I stream movies and TV series on my laptop and I am not a big fan of playing video games as well. Due to it’s huge size it is taking up most of my living room space. Based on my usage, it was not an intelligent purchase by me in the first place.

I will be advertising it soon, but if you are interested in buying it from me then you are most welcome. You can come to my house on the coming weekend and see the television for yourself. I can give you a good bargain since you are my friend and I could also offer you a television table set for free.

Give my love to your son.
