 The graphs below show the numbers of male and female workers in 1975 and 1995 in several employment sectors of the republic of Freedonia.

Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.

The given line graphs compare the number of male and female employees in six different sectors in the republic of freedom in 1975 and twenty years later.

It is clearly seen that overall, there were more male employees than female employees in both years. Interestingly, the number of men working in all sectors remained constant between 1975 and 1995 with the exception of the finance / banking sector that exhibited a 20% decrease from half a million employees to 400,000 employees; the public sector (defence) also showed and insignificant decline in the number of men working in that sector from a little above 200,000 employees to 200,000.

Evidently, there was a significant increase in the number of women working in most of the sectors, with few exceptions. The communication, finance, wholesaler and retail trading, and defence public sector, all exhibited a remarkable increase in the number of female employees from 220, 100, 550 and 25 thousand to 550, 450, 800 and 100 thousand respectively. The figures for the manufacturing and public sector (non-defence) remained constant though.
