It is commonly witnesses nowadays that a large number of companies manufacture the products in units which are established in other parts of the world rather than at the head office. This trend has brought several benefits for mankind. However, there may be some drawbacks too. In this essay, both the viewpoint will be discusses prior to arriving at an appropriate conclusion.

On the one hand, the expansion of branches of large organisations throughout the world has in numerous benefits. Firstly, in many developing or underdeveloped nations, the people have acquired employment and they now lead a quality life. Prior to this, due to limited job opportunities they were not able to make both ends meet. The authorities of non-affluent nations sometimes are not able to establish sources of employment due to low income. Secondly, when international companies spread their branches across the globe, it gives rise to globalization which contributes to the comprehensive development of all nations. Thus, their trend is advantageous for people and countries/

However, the other side of the coin is that there are also some demerits of this phenomenon. One explicit drawback of the erection of manufacturing units. In other countries is that monetary benefits of selling such commodies goes to the source nations while they use resources from other places. Consequently, it does not benefit the economy of the host country. Furthermore, there is a strong possibility that it will influence the culture of other countries. For example, Mcdonalds has it's branches in almost every corner of the world; because of this, people get used to consuming more fast-food because it is popular brand. Moreover, it is becoming a vogue to go to such places. thus, there are some detrimental impacts of the internationalization of company.

Having considered the pros and cons of producing goods in international units, it can be stated that this trend is more likely to be continued in the future and its positive aspects assist the non-affluent countries. So, it can be stated that its merits outweigh demerits.
