You should spend about 20 minutes on this task. Write about the following topic
You are staying in a country where the main language is English. You are looking for an opportunity to do volunteer work in a developing country.
Write a letter to the organization you want to work with and tell them:
- Why you are interested in working with them
- What skills and experience you have
- How long you are available to volunteer
Write at least 150 words.
I am studying Big Data at the Edith Cowan University in Australia. I have been studying here for the past one and a half years. I am writing to you to apply for volunteer work at your prestigious company.
I have worked as a Data Scientist in my home country for a span of two years. Therefore, I have skills in Python programming language and am well versed in machine learning jargons. In addition to that I have ample experience in real life implementation of various algorithms. I have looked into your projects and the services your company is providing from your website. I find my line of studies and experience quite similar to the work your organization is performing. Therefore, I consider myself to be competent enough to be able to help you in your projects.
I will be available to work in the evening and on the weekends as I have classes during the daytime. I will be able to join from the beginning of next month.
I hope you will consider me for some volunteer work at your esteemed organization. Looking forward to hearing from you soon.
