The bar graphs give information about the proportion of population that owns computers from 2002 to 2010, and categorize the ownership information further by five levels of education from in 2002 and 2010. Overall, the level of computer ownership rose gradually between 2002 and 2010 across all education levels.
In 2002, less than 60 percent of the general population owned computers. By 2010, this figure increased steadily to reach nearly 80%. In both 2002 and 2010, there were more highly educated people owned who owned computers compared to less educated ones. In 2002, a slightly above 70 percent of the postgraduates had a computer, a figure seven times of those without high school diploma. In 2010, the percentage of ownership pattern was similar for those with incomplete college, bachelor’s degree and postgraduate level, between 80 – 90 percent. In contrast, people with no high school diploma had a lower level of computer ownership, almost half of those of postgraduate’s certificate.
