The graph illustrates the number of travelers at three American airports from 1995 to 2000. It is clearly seen that there are noticeable differences in the number of passengers at each airport.
According to the graph, Newark airport recorded the least number of passengers in 1995 with about 15 million travelers. In contrast, the figure for LaGuardia airport was more than twice as high as Newark while John F. Kennedy figure was about 25 million in the same year. The number of passengers to all of the three airports then exhibited a slight upward trend over the next 5 years , with the travellers at John F. Kennedy airport exhibiting some fluctuation. The highest number of passengers was registered in 2000 at LaGuardia airport with little less than 70 million passengers. This, contrasted with the figures for the other two airports showing little more than 40 million passengers for each.
In summary, it is seen that the number of passengers at John F. Kennedy, LaGuardia and Newark airports gradually increased over the period shown on the graph, along with an exceptional upsurge in the number of travelers at LaGuardia airport , specifically in the year 2000.
