Model Answer:

In the recent decades, as the society has marched towards modernization and globalization, people’s attitude has inclined towards materialistic happiness which having a highly-paid job gives. However, I am completely on the other side of the aisle, believing that money is not the most significant aspect of a profession.

To begin with, there are many reasons to support my argument. First of all, a happy professional space with understanding colleagues enriches a person’s ability on a professional front. It triggers self-confidence to oneself and encourages the individual to think out-of-the-box and present many innovative ideas to improve his career and the organization as well. A proven study at Harvard University states that those who worked with supportive co-workers are 78% more likely to contribute to the betterment of the company.

In contrast, unsupportive work culture would incorporate stress and anxiety to the employees which in turn affects their personal life as well. Mentally stressed employees return home to their family, only to carry a negative energy from their workspace to the home which damages the family bonds. Along with this, the work pressure has adverse effects on the professional’s mental health leading to blood pressure, migraine and hair loss.

Lastly, it is mandatory that everyone must choose their career that they enjoy. The adage, “Do what you love; love what you do”, holds true in all instances of life, including jobs. If an employee loses his passion towards the job, then that would lead to loss of motivation. The employee might stop enriching himself on technical front which may end in losing the job itself.

In conclusion, it can be confidently conveyed that, a majority of the professionals run behind higher wages, however, success and happiness are only possible when they have job satisfaction which leads to the upliftment of their career automatically.
