Model Answer:

With the increase in the use of personal vehicles, the urban cities are becoming extremely crowded. Some people believe that this issue can be resolved by prohibiting the entry of cars into the city's main area. This essay will throw some light on why this is one of the most effective ways to reduce the overly growing traffic.

Automobiles are, no doubt, the most comfortable form of transportation. People travel in their own cars, even in highly populated cities, because it is much convenient for them than using buses. Despite of the fact that they are likely to stuck for hours in traffic, they are still in favour of using their personal vehicle. Due to this mindset, they ignore the trouble they can cause to other people, especially the pedestrians.

On the other hand, we can clearly see the problems which the increase in the use of car can create for public. For instance, it takes hours for a person to go to his work in downtown in big cities. Some heavily crowded cities, like Dubai , have already realized the severity of this issue . They are in a rush to expand their public transport as soon as possible. Furthermore, people in Dubai have also started using metro and trams to go to their offices.

After having discussed the most pertinent points of this issue, I feel that although giving up your own cars is a bitter pill to swallow, it's the need of the hour. So personal vehicles should be permitted to a certain limit only in crowded downtown areas and people should be encouraged to use public transport for travelling inside the cities.
