Model Answer:

This pie chart details the different causes that reduce the productivity of the farmland. However, the table compares between the effects of these factors in three different regions in the world in 1990.

Firstly, overgrazing of farm animals resulted in degradation of more than one-third of the agricultural land all over the world. Secondly, deforestation came in the second place damaging around 30% if the farmlands worldwide.

Furthermore, over-cultivation of the various crops was responsible for degradation of more than one-quarter of the green land. Lastly, around 7% of the agricultural land degraded by other factors.

On the other hand, the previously mentioned factors differently influenced three regions of the world. To begin with, Europe was the most affected region with approximately one-quarter of its green land degraded in 1992, nearly five times the degraded land in North America. Deforestation resulted in the decreased productivity of about 10% in Europe almost five times the land degraded on Oceania and twenty times that in North America. Secondly, over cultivating degraded 7.7% of the farmland in Europe, more than double the area degraded in North America by the same cause. It`s interesting to mention that it had no effect on the green land in Oceania. Moreover, over breeding of farm animals caused degradation of around 11.3% in Oceania.
